These are other sites EVO uses, and several helpful tools, tutorials, templates, etc.

Don't forget to check out Tips on Moderating Sessions, which includes comments on "certificates."

Acronyms We Use

Useful acronyms - a technology glossary

Chat Tools

Chat Tools - directions for using our chat venues

EV Fair and Sample Letter for Funding

EV Fair Submission - updated and submitted for 2012-13.

-->This page also has a sample letter to help potential presenters get funding.

Letter to Sponsor

Letter to a Sponsor + Follow-up - you will need to find a sponsor in TESOL--an IS or other member group--you can use this as a model

Logos

We'd like every session to develop its own distinctive logo (see Logo Makers for some ideas). You are welcome to use the EVO logo (above right) as well, but only in combination with your own. (Right-click on a PC or Control-click on a Mac to copy the EVO image to your own desktop.) However, the TESOL logo is restricted in use and probably should not be used on individual session pages. Here is the response we got from TESOL Central Office when queried about their logo:

The TESOL logo is a registered trademark and its use is restricted. The TESOL logo may not be used on members' or nonmembers' letterhead, business cards, brochures, advertisements, flyers, direct mail pieces, reports, books, handouts, Web sites, PowerPoint presentations, or other items used to identify an organization.

Useful Online Tools

Logo makers + Image sites

Twitter how-to video - make a hashtag and use Tweets, Tweme, and TweetChat to publicize your session and connect with participants.

Use the >Search bar to find our #2012EVO. Use Tweetgrid.com to follow all the EVO tweets.

Time and Date - has several useful tools for keeping track of time differences; sign on and use the Personal Meeting Planner for setting up live chats

TUTORIALS - Web tools we use - links to help files and video tutorials

SurveyMonkey - one of the best survey-maker tools; free up to 10 questions, with a wide variety of response-types possible.

Google Docs/Spreadsheets has a great deal of flexibility, and can be used for a survey and embedded in a Web page, but may not be as easy for beginners to use at first. [Further info from users is welcome!]
