 Interactive/content spaces

    • Edmodo - possible interactive space
    • PBWorks - a tried-and-true content space, e.g., for your syllabus, readings, videos, etc.
    • Wikispaces - another possible content space

 

Meeting spaces

MP3 Skype Recorder - keep a recording of your meetings on Skype

 

Other useful tools 

    • SurveyMonkey - a survey tool that's great for needs assessment, participant polls, etc.; see also the Polls feature in Yahoo Groups 
    • Diigo - for social bookmarking - archive favorite websites for your session; see also the Links feature in Yahoo Groups
    • Chatwing- design your own embeddable chat room for anyone to join that is safe. 
    • Blogger - create a community blog
    • Facebook groups - open a new Facebook account, or try it out first in your own account
    • Wordpress - blog space
    • ZeeMaps - embed an interactive map in your blog or wiki to show where your participants are from
    • About.me - a place where participants can personalize their introductions
    • Jing - lets you instantly create short training videos
