If you are seeking sponsorship from IATEFL SIGs or other organizations (such as your local TESOL affiliate or other English language teachers' professional organizations, you are responsible for requesting sponsorship from them and informing us of their response. Once sponsorship has been confirmed, you can add their name to the sponsor section of your session page and mention it on your other sites as well. You can also compose your own letter, but be sure to explain that you are not requesting any money--just moral support and publicity.

Annually in January and February, the Electronic Village Online (a project of TESOL’s CALL-IS) offers five-week professional development sessions on a variety of topics for teachers from around the world. The EVO serves as a kind of extension of the Electronic Village at the land-based TESOL Convention, but it is free and open to all.
I am writing to you seeking sponsorship from [name of organization] for an EVO session entitled "[title of your session]." Sponsorship involves publicizing the session in your newsletter and/or on your email list, and we will place a reference to your organization [on our session page and on our online platforms], which is a form of good publicity for the organization.
